Where did the name “The Motherfucking Gaslamp Killer” come from?
I got my start deejaying in the gaslamp district of san diego. its where all the pretty people like to go to look at each other and get drunk in there button up silk shirts and high heel shoes. they dont go out to listen to music, the music is simply in the backround & “that outfit” or “thats my team” are whats important. So for the first 6 or 7 years of my musical life, i was being ignored / hated on by these fucking good looking jock morons & theyr cheerleader girlfriends.

yeah, kinda took a break from posting so we could get the MAXIMUM experience of sxsw, again.
and without a doubt, it was a great time. we actually saw some bandsthis year! and i wasn’t wastered throwing up all day! some high lites included; the death set, seeing perry ferrell go in to emos, dudes throwing up in the middle of the street then trying to get back in the venue, my close encounter with moby, seeing flosstradamus three times in two days, getting in to the fools gold showcase, quoting bro humor and having a pool party with 2many dudes!
i feel like the list could go on and on, but i’m sure it’ll all come out eventually, check out my flicker set for all the random cameraphone pictures i took.
oh and we went to a place called ‘the shit pit’
but i’m not gonna get in to that right now…
They go by Duplexx when they perform together, I got the chance to see edan last year and it was one of the best shows i have been to. E can dj and rap at the same time (about 7 minutes in), and him and insight have amazing chemistry (about 9 minutes in), can spit acapella at rapid speed (12 minutes in), and take risks by hopping into the crowd and rock shit at ground level (13 minutes in).
